What it does

SXSW has always been a mecca for music, movies, and hipsters. Of late, technology has been making a presence at Austin’s biggest party. The SXSW Interactive Festival showcases hundreds of the latest, newest, and hottest media technologies. Among them is Bitstrips, an online comic strip creator. Charlie Brown, Garfield, move over. Any aspiring comic strip artists can sign up and make a a comic. You can create a completely original comic or choose from a series of pre-made characters and add text in talk bubbles. You can even choose your character’s facial expression, or change the panel color and the border color. Change the number of panels. Everything is customizable If you want to go fancy, try out the super builder feature and add props, poses and effects. Comics have never been cooler.

Why it might be a killer
