What it does

Powered by Google Maps, Geoquake provides you with a 2-D automobile driving simulation. After given the choice of four vehicles (a car, truck, bus or trailer), you witness an aerial view of the street map along with a few more features, including zooming options and map display choices. You have control of a moving steering wheel and can keep track of your speed in either miles or kilometers per hour. All you need is Flash Player 9+ to simulate a real life driving situation, all from the safety and comfort of your own home.

Why it might be a killer

This application advertises the ablity to drive anywhere, which is accomplished by the fact that you can drive in and out of buildings, as well as on the streets. When you switch automobiles and increase your speed, you are able to notice how the response rates change based on which vehicle was chosen. But what´s the point? How long can this truly keep somebody´s interest? And with so little on the webpage, why even bother with Geoquake at all?
