Why it might be a killer

The best thing about Banshee’s new upgrade is just how fast everything is. There are no more long waits, thanks to it’s performance improvements, like it’s greater support for vídeo imports and playbacks. Equally awesome is the Play Queue option of holding tracks for later allows you a much easier way of creating playlists. The website itself looks better organized than the previous one, though it’s still lacking a sufficient page clearly describing all of the features one can use after downloading Banshee. You shouldn’t have to search through reviews to find out basic information about the product you’re interested in having.

How can Banshee update their “About” page to include more user friendly information? Is there place for a glossary to educate novices about Banshee´s features? With good reviews coming in, how can Banshee stay on top as one of the best received media players?

What it does

The latest Banshee 1.0 Beta 2 has been in development for quite some time and it´s now ready to meet all of your media playing needs. Found on it´s newly constructed website, Banshee 1.0 allows you to play your music and videos freely while the player automatically loads the album artwork as you listen. Banshee supports your iPod and other devices, allowing you to sync your music and videos to your mp3. Furthermore, you can listen to your favorite music and discover new artists by streamlining Last.fm directly through the Banshee user interface. Podcasts can also be streamlined or automatically downloaded to the local drive for later playback. The upgrade of support for vídeos and podcasts in the newly released 1.0 version means that you don’t have to wait, which is agreed upon as the coolest perk thus far.
