This tool will only remain effective if it stays relatively unknown because if it becomes a well-known tool people would be able to use it to crack passwords! Of course, it is unlikely that a little application like this would become so popular as to be used by password hackers.

Why it might be a killer

This is an interesting take on the generation of complex passwords since it allows you to create a difficult-to-crack password out of words that you will never forget. This could become a popular little tool, especially amongst those who have decided to no longer use “1,2,3,4”, as their password!

What it does

PasswordChart is a simple little web-based tool that allows you to create complex passwords out of easy-to-remember phrases or words. Simply enter a phrase into the first space provided and PasswordChart generates a random chart, which number in the millions. Next, with the chart generated, simply enter in a password that you won’t have any problems remembering, and a password is generated that is infinitely more secure than the one you entered. Use this new secure password everywhere and if you ever forget it, just go back to passwordchart.com and enter in your phrase and the original password and PasswordChart will refresh your memory.
