Why it might be a killer

IllyPads has a lot of cool and creative art. It's a happening community that lets user interact and connect with each other while showcasing new talent. There's no fee to join and it's a great way to discover something new in the art world.

What it does

Think you can draw? Animate? Paint? If art is your forte, IllyPads is a site suited to your tastes. So, the name doesn't exactly evoke Michaelangelo, or even Warhol, but IllyPads is nothing to laugh at. IllyPads describes itself as "Illustration Inspiration". And, that it is. Take a quick tour of the IllyPad pond, and you'll find a vast array of creative illustrations, drawings, paintings, etc from users. It's easy to get inspired, or find yourself a new favorite artist. If you're more of the creator, than an observer, you can submit your own piece of art too. All it takes is a quick and easy registration and login. Search for a specific look or topic by tags or lookup specific artists. There's even a chance to win prizes for your masterpiece. It's not much, but it'll keep you from starving a little while longer.
